CommentsWHAT A LITTLE INSPIRATION SHE IS. HOW WONDERFUL TO HAVE HAD HER IN YOUR LIVES.
CommentsWe have enjoyed viewing Leslie's website. What a beautiful tribute to such a precious child of God! We think of your family often, and we are so glad to see that you have found peace in the midst of what must have been nearly unbearable pain. Though we spent only a few minutes with Leslie during her illness, she has made an impact on our family that will never be forgotten. Leslie's light continues to shine, and we are all better off for having known her. May the peace of the Lord be with you always. Santa and Mrs. Claus
CommentsMike, Mary and Allison, this site is lovely and what a blessing that Leslie has her wonderful family to carry on her message to others. Leslie’s beautiful smile, blonde hair and blue eyes are glowing in this picture which definitely portrays her delightful sense of humor. Every moment I was privileged to spend with my granddaughter I will cherish in my heart forever. I see that Santa and Mrs. Claus have visited her new site. I will never forget how absolutely thrilled Leslie was last Christmas when they came to visit her at home. I know she is exciting the heavens with all her adorable stories of her home and family. She has probably told them that her mommy’s minute is really an hour, that daddy loved spoiling her, and that her sister could sweet talk her into giving her some of her treats. She loved my banana bread and I know that whenever I make it she is right there with me. Leslie has left us with countless memories—a true blessing from God. My love always, Grandma Faith, Spokane WA
CommentsHi Mary, Mike and Allison! What an awesome website to celebrate Leslie's life. Hope to see you soon, would love for you to sing in the Praise Band with us! We really need an extra soprano...saw Allison in the Youth Praise Band at the tent event. They were awesome! Asubry is so big, it is hard to believe I don't see you guys more often. Can't wait to get the book. Take Care! Brooklyn

CommentsI am just thrilled that you will continue to update and share how you all are glorifying God. Your testimony is powerful and I am sure God is very pleased. Love in Christ, Brenda Lucius Tiffin, OH
CommentsMary, I can't tell you how many times I've thought of you all since Leslie passed on to the angels. I had heard about her drawings and wanted to ask you if I could see them. Your website is an answer dropped from heaven! I can't wait to take time to study each one and just wonder if she was having 'images' from the 'other side'. This is awesome. I wish you all well. I also would like a copy of Jan Peine's book. Please let us know if we can reserve a copy. Adele Boohaker
CommentsSo inspiring to us. Thank you. Anita & Adair Reddoch Marietta, Ga.

CommentsWhat a wonderful site and tribute to Leslie! She would be so pleased, I know. You have been a true inspiration to so many and many more to come. It is evident through you that God is so great and is spreading his miracles through your words of devotion and faith. Regardless of the pain and suffering you endured, you "handed your broken pieces" over to God so that His and Leslie's work could begin. Leslie is missed so much each day but we will all be together again someday and learn so much more from her on our earthly home. We are blessed to have you as family! We love you! Casey, Melinda, Baine & Anna Kate
CommentsDear Mary, Though we have never met, I have kept up with you. I can't imagine that life would be any easier for you and your family, but as was once described to me by a friend who lost her child, it gets a little "softer". May God continue to sustain you through each and every day. Love, Carolyn Guyton Kearns, High Point, NC. Old friend of your Mom and Susan Loper Wood.

CommentsWe certainly don't understand God's ways but we know that He is sovereign and all knowing. What a treasure was given to earth in Lesie in just a short 7 years. As a mother, grandmother, Bible teacher and school counselor, it makes me very aware that we must not miss any opportunity to touch the life of the people, especially children, who God places in our lives. My prayer each morning as I leave for my school of 800 intercity children, is that God will use me to be His hands, His feet and to see them through His eyes. Thank you for continuing to share Leslie's life with the world. Janice Stone Birmingham, Alabama

CommentsDear Mary, I was so thankful that God put me in your store yesterday! The kids and I read "Giving Me Away" over and over last night. It is such a wonderful tool for ministry! I love Leslie's pictures. They really ministered to me today. The Holy Spirit shared with Leslie many important truths about His love for us. He gave her an incredible gift that will continue to touch many, many lives! Thanks for sharing the book and this site with me. Love, Pam Pugh Birmingham, AL
CommentsHey, Mary and Mike! Got the update about Jan and Kendra's new book. I think it's wonderful. Just thought I'd sign in and say hi from my neck o' the woods. We're getting ready for 4K next week and looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. You're right about the heat of this August summer. We've taken cabin fever to a whole new level! You're continually in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your chin up! Love to all, Marni Ulch marniulch@charter.net

CommentsHi Mary and Mike, I have continued to check Leslie's caringbridge site every week or so and was thrilled to see the new website. The best part of it, so far, is all of the drawings Leslie did and that you have posted them. I immediately noticed nearly all of them had the red heart, stars, and a circle surrounded by dots. I think she was already getting a glimpse of the heavenly bodies God has created. I agree with the poster you said her drawings would make wonderful Christmas cards. Each time I pass her school, I think of her. So glad to hear the move went well and that Allison is having fun at school. Ellie and I continue our weekly visits to the radiation center seeing all the children. Now we have another schnauzer, Dixie, who has passed all the tests. Soon she will be bringing smiles to the faces of those we see at the cancer center and the hospitals. Hugs, prayers, and blessings, Nena Hand-in-Paw

CommentsHi Mary Condon and Mike, What a lovely tribute to beautiful Leslie and oh how I enjoyed reading it all. Mary, you are truly honoring God's calling for you. You too shall be blessed. What an appropriate name for you...Mary. As I was looking at the drawings that Leslie made, I asked my 6 year old daughter to view them with me. Although she knew somewhat of what Leslie went through, she does know that Leslie is now in heaven. As I was trying to explain the drawings, (circle, star, and heart) I asked her what she thought the circle with the dots around it meant. She said just as clear as day..."Mommy, the heart is Leslie's spirit, and the dots are the angels around her" How comforting it is to be reminded of this truth, even if it is from my 6 year old daughter. And now with my Father in Law passing just last week, it is even more comforting. May God bless you and your family as you continue to do His work. I love you all and thinking of you always, Heidi Sumner Soltys
CommentsDear Mike, Mary Condon, and Allison, You have created a truly wonderful website to honor Leslie. It is very heartwarming. What a blessing you are to all! Your love of our Lord is evident "through it all". May you and Leslie keep touching so many hearts and lives! We continually think of you and keep you in our prayers always! We love you all very much! The Cuadra Family (Jill, Norm, Juliana, Kathryn & Christina)
CommentsDear Mary, Mike and Allison, You have found Leslie's LEGACY. May this site bring comfort to other parents who are experiencing a terminal illness, or are coping with the loss of their Angel from that illness. I rejoyce with you knowing you have found your path and direction. This site will help more people than you can imagine. From a mother who has lost a child to you and your family, continue HER legacy. She still has so much to teach and we have so much to learn from this beautiful child. My prayers and thoughts are with you always. Michelle Rhodes & Family (In Loving Memory of my Angel... Gwyneth Nicole)
CommentsHey Mike, This is Derry Herring from Karate class. My son Griffin was is about Leslie's age. The website is great. I will check back periodically. It is nice to hear how you and your family are doing. I look forward to seeing you at church. God Bless, Derry Herring
CommentsDear Mike, Mary and precious Allison, I was blessed to become your friend initially with Allison. She was a Fabulous Frog in kindergarten and I watched as she grew at IES. Of course, sweet Leslie had to be a Fabulous Frog, too! She wrote that she couldn't wait for "big school!" She was so eager to listen to me read aloud. She always sat as close as she could excitedly anticipating each story. I do believe she loved Writing Workshop just as much. Her words and her drawings were planned with much forethought. (I used her poem about "tubing" as an example at a workshop for teachers about writing.) I hope to visit the site often and I truly hope to stay in touch. Love, Kelly Failla Inverness Elementary School
CommentsDear Mary, The site you have created is a wonderful tribute to your daughter and the power of God. I was touched by her pictures and photos. I was very appreciative of the What to Do Segment. All of your suggestions are terrific, meaningful , and practical. During Leslie's illness I talked to her at night when I said my prayers-sending wishes of joy, hope and love to her and your family. I went through a bad bout with cancer ten years ago and have had a few scares of reoccurrence since then. I knew a little about what she was going through but I could arm myself with information and feel like I understood what was happening and the consequences from an adult perspective. Her loss is very unfortunate yet your story of an angel sent for a brief time to do god's work is touching. It helps us understand and heal. It also will help us help others thru difficult times. Thank you for sharing Leslie with the world. Your second cousin-Sarah Loper Matthews I look forward to Thanksgiving!
CommentsMary and family, I found your website today. I have been touched by your thoughtfulness during our family's time of trial too. You know exactly what we are going through. I read your "what to do" list, and it was all the things that have been pulling us through. Know that we continue to pray for your family, and we are thankful for your prayers too. We are going through so many emotions, although we KNOW GOD is in control of all things. That is the only assurance that we have. We pray all the best for your family. Love, Allison Kinchler
CommentsDear Mary and Mike - It is so good to see you both as you continue your lives after the loss of your sweet Leslie. It is such a reminder to me of your faithfulness, and gives me such a wonderful example to look to in my own life. Your story truly has touched so many in ways you can't even imagine. Even those without a child or loved one with an illness. This website is wonderful, however painful for me as well, I will admit. As I look at Leslie's precious face here, I can't imagine... I just want you to know how I look up to you and continue to pray for your family. I ask my son Tom about Allison periodically. He always seems to think she is well. I especially wanted you to know how helpful your section on "What To Do" was to me and must be to many others. Thank you for doing that. You are right...Dee was wonderful. We have enjoyed Jan's book and Leslie's dedication page. It was good to see you at the Washington D.C. meeting. I know your strength certainly has come from God to keep marching ahead with daily life and continuing to engage in Allison's day to day life as she grows up. You are a wonderful example. Thank you so much and know that I am always thinking about you all. Sincerely, Kim Paduch
CommentsDear Schmidt family, David sent me your web site and I was so touched by all that I read. To me the most wondrous of all the pages was the one of Leslie's drawings. She was a precious gift from God and her memory will live on forever. I am so sorry for your loss of this beautiful child. Your new neighbors, Roy and Claire Straight

CommentsMary, We wanted to thank you so much for Rob's gift certificate for his birthday. You were way too generous!! I know he will really enjoy it though. We just got back from our daily check-up. We thought we would be back in the hospital this week, but his counts are still low so it will probably be next week. He is feeling much better now. We were just talking about what we hope to learn from all of this, and how we hope to change.....and my thing is to be as generous as people have been to us. Just as your example is... People are so giving with their money, time, and persevering through the whole long process. We are so blessed to receive, and I want to be able to give back one day too. God is teaching, surrounding, and nudging us along. Thanks for all that you do!! Love, Allison and Rob
